Factory-ready tech packs that turn your design into clear production instructions.

Factory-ready tech packs that turn your design into clear production instructions.

A tech pack is the technical foundation of a garment. FORM Studio translates your design into the measurements, materials, construction details and specifications a pattern maker, sample room and manufacturer need to develop and reproduce your product consistently.

A fashion tech pack, also called a technical package, is a set of documents that communicates how a garment should be developed and produced. A fashion sketch shows what you want the garment to look like. A tech pack explains how it should actually be made.

A COMPLETE PACK CAN INCLUDE

A COMPLETE PACK CAN INCLUDE

Technical flat sketches · Points of Measurement · Measurement and size specifications · Grading · Bill of Materials · Fabric and trim specifications · Construction details · Stitching and seams · Artwork placement · Colourways · Labels · Packaging · Fit and revision comments

Not a fixed template.

The exact contents depend on the garment and its stage of development. The technical information must reflect the actual product, not an off-the-shelf checklist.

( WHAT IS INCLUDED )

Every detail has a production reference.

01 / TECHNICAL FLATS

Clear front, back and detail views.

Technical drawings communicate construction and design details clearly to your development and production team, without relying on fashion illustration or interpretation.

02 / MEASUREMENTS & POM

Fit, measured precisely.

Detailed measurement charts and Points of Measurement define where every dimension is taken. Where applicable, we can also work with tolerances and grading specifications.

03 / BILL OF MATERIALS

Materials, specified.

The BOM documents every material and component: main fabric, lining, interfacing, zippers, buttons, elastic, thread, labels, hardware and trims, with composition, weight and colour references where available.

04 / CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

Make the method unambiguous.

Construction pages communicate seams, stitching, hem finishes, closures, panels, pockets, binding and internal construction. Visual callouts reduce uncertainty before sampling begins.

Less interpretation. Fewer development rounds.

Less interpretation. Fewer development rounds.

A tech pack is especially useful when you are developing a first collection, moving into sampling, working with a new or overseas manufacturer, preparing for bulk production, or correcting samples that do not match the design. If a factory has to guess measurements, materials or construction, the product is not being communicated technically enough.

A spec sheet describes measurements. A tech pack communicates the garment.

Starting from a sketch

We translate your concept into technical documentation and identify the fit, pattern and construction decisions that still need to be developed.

Working from a sample

Already have a physical garment? We can document its construction, measurements and technical details to create a production-ready package.

Improving an existing pack

If samples repeatedly come back with incorrect measurements, construction or details, we can review and improve the documentation behind them.

Your manufacturer should have answers, not more questions.

FORM Studio connects technical documentation to pattern development, 3D validation, physical sampling and fit development. Together, we move from idea to technically developed garment, approved sample and production with fewer misunderstandings along the way.
